Services
Quality of Service is a Priority
The Centre only employs qualified therapists who are
registered members with their respective Colleges. The Canadian
Council on Health Services Accreditation (CCHSA) determines the
accreditation level of KidsAbility-Centre for Child Development.
Performed every three years, the accreditation process ensures that
the directors, staff and volunteers are committed to providing high
quality services within a framework of national health care standards.
This will be achieved through 160 full and part-time staff and more
than 300 volunteers.
KidsAbility works with 18 other similar children's centre's across Ontario.
This helps to develop best practices for services and to share ideas and expertise.
Ontario's Centres have an important link with a research group at McMaster University(Centre for
Childhood Disability Research)
that focuses on children with special needs. This research evaluates
client services and provides research-based recommendations for
continuous quality improvement.
